Subject: setting up wcrafty to run on chess server

I recently found instructions on how to run crafty on my chess server
but  I'm having difficulty getting into the wrafty.rc  file to set the
hash
tables ( not being a programmer) can someone explain how to get
into the file  in simple  terms. And also is there a  site to get a
larger
opening book for craty?
