I really believe that a device like that is >so useful that buying one per year is not a waste of money. exactly. the low price, the less energy, the NO SOUND making device, no hdd, no microsoft shit, ... everything fits. i can download my emails with it (and my mobile) and play chess wherever i like. i can store adresses and all kind of texts, books etc. in it. i can search through the books. you can use it in your car, as a global position system to find the way, and when you are not driving, play a game of chess, analyse a game of chess you read in a newspaper.... it fits. no microsoft = no hdd. no big MHZ needed because NO big operating system. plug a keyboard in it wherever you are, fire the emails back. and relax. >People change their PC every 2-3 years, change their mobile phone every 2 years, >so I don't see why Palms are supposed to last forever. right. >Technoloy is not something you buy once for all. That's exactly the same for PCs and mobile phones. right. as long as pocket pc's rely on bill gates promises, they are in the same trap all the other BIG pc's are. you believe you have a fast pc, but then you buy bills latest effort in making your pc slow, and you need a faster pc. forget it. bill gates interest is in making your pc slower. making your hdd bigger. >On the other hand you can buy a Palm right now, and be happy with its features >and its strength at chess and keep it several years...
