I think that they use all the 4 piece tablebases.

I also think that there is no problem if they use some 5 piece tablebases with
no pawns and all the 4 piece tablebases.

I do not see reason to prefer only complete 4 piece TBs and not also some
tablebases of 5 pieces with no pawns like KRB vs KR but if you say you prefer
only complete 4 piece tablebases then they should use only them.
