Mainly because, most of their software(almost 30%) are not compatible with windowsxp, or the software companies didnt make it compatible yet, or making the software compatible means buying a newer version. IMO, if you have windows2000pro, its not worth the trouble, unless you like "funny graphics". ;) As far as chess programs are concerned, my 2 fav programs, rebel and CM8000 doesnt even run under it, too bad. Not to mention my dsl provider software wasnt even compatible. I installed and uninstalled winxp in the same day, within 6 hours. pavs
