I once played a game where my opponent agreed to a a draw.
He had mate in one! a beautiful weird mate in one in the middle of the board
in an endgame. I was 12 yrs old I figured that my only chance
to save the game after a gross blunder was to offer a draw. Who knows, maybe he
was busy with his quiescence search :-) He agreed without even thinking.

The interesting thing is that he was an adult and probably ~2000 elo.
The other interesting thing is that he was happy! because he was losing
the whole time (two pawns down) and save 1/2 point. Chess is amazing,
I was a silly kid and this man was a gentleman.
