Yes, I know some people have trouble believing this at times so I wiill add a
small case of that here in Rio's chess community. I'll take 3 players:
- GM Darcy Lima (yes, a 2500+ GM)
- FM Hilton Rios Filho (highest rating 2335)
- Roberto Oliveira (highest rating 2250)
Darcy always beats Oliveira, and easily. Never seen Oliveira last more than 29
moves in their last 3 encounters.
Hilton Rios has a funny habit of constantly beating Darcy. This is no
exaggeration. In their last 4 encounters I have seen it has been 4-0.
Oliveira regularly beats Hilton. I think in their last 10 games (these guys meet
more often) Rios has saved 3-4 draws at most.
Explanation?: That's life!
