I use chessbase 7 to set up the position.  Then "printing" -> "diagram to
clipboard" puts the diagram on the clipboard.  In Word, you can then go Edit ->
Paste Special -> bitmap.  Finally you can size the diagram by right clicking it,
 choosing "format" and clicking the "size" tab.
