In my country all IM are poor creatures that has lost his careers -mostly in engineering and law- and wander from one little town to another to see if they can win a porice oif let us say 500 dollars. On the contrary, really smart top players continued his careers and are now wealthy of well to do professionals using his brain in normally well payed activities. GM have sommething of the idiot-savant that sych literature has described since long.
