Ever since I became interested in Winboard and the engines that run under it, I've found that this forum, along with the Winboard forum, contain a wealth of information. However, with the vast amount of tips, tricks, traps and general knowledge that's found here, it can be difficult to navigate the random posts to discover the hidden gems. I propose a hierarchial folder structure would help address these organizational issues. So I've done a little research and present http://www.winboard.info for review. THIS IS FOR TESTING ONLY... ANY REGISTRATIONS OR POSTS MADE THERE WILL LIKELY BE DELETED. But you're welcome to register and post to test the stability and response of the system. My interest in computer chess is primarily with Winboard and its related engines. However, I think that the model forum found at http://www.winboard.info either could be expanded to encompass computer chess in general or the same approach could be used to design an entirely seperate forum for the broad topic of computer chess. I welcome any comments and suggestions. I'm especially interested in knowing if the forum categories that I've chosen are complete for its intended userbase, Winboard users and programmers. Which ones need to be added/deleted/subdivided? Thank you in advance. ------------------------------ Ed Seid US Chess Federation - life member Global Chess Server - admin
