To me it was not really a question of strenght, when i bought my Dual MP 1600+,
but a question of actually being able to run SMP programs the way they were
meant to, also to have engine tournaments with ponder=on, analysis with 2
engines simultaniously and a few other non chess related reasons.

I am at the moment running a Gauntlet with Deep Junior 7, where it uses 1
processor and ponder=on, after that i will run the gauntlet over again, but with
DJ7 using 2 processors and ponder=off, mainly to see if it will do much better
or just a little bit better.

It is true that DF not only refuses to use the 2nd processor, but sometimes even
get's slower with 2 processors than with one!! i have stopped using it all
together as SMP.

Regards
Jonas
