I suggest that if you want information like that, you should provide a "Test position" for everyone to use. Since the NPS varies greatly with the pieces on the board. You need for everyone to use the same position for the test. Many programs also vary with the time spent on the position. That is the NPS after 10 seconds is different than after 5 minutes. Here is an example of a position form a gime between Fritz 6 and Chess Tiger 14.0: [D]2k4r/pp1q1pp1/2pb3p/3p3P/3P2P1/2PR1Q1R/PPK2P1B/ w - - 0 1 After 10 seconds * get a reading of about 341K/nps and it is constangly rising. After 1 minute I get about 364K/nps. This is on an Athlon 1400 Mhz. Jim Jim
