I urge you to do a better job.  There are a few Winboard engines that do not
behave well during thinking, and these engines are annoying to deal with.

If you want to avoid writing the Winboard communication stuff, check out my
stuff at http://www.seanet.com/~brucemo/gerbil/gerbil.htm

You can take my stuff and hook a simple chess program up to it rather easily.
