Say someone modifies Crafty, gives it a new name, and it's 1500 on ICC, why would anyone want to see that in a tournament? I think that's what he was trying to prevent. >In CCT3 I have operated SOS manual. SOS is capable of playing auto232 and UCI >but it's was too difficult for me to get it work quickly. Look at my other post on this thread. >About the formula. If people only want to play humans. Well let them do so. (C) operators that play anyone and anything don't hold the !computer (C)'s in a real high regard. They make it more difficult for us to play the good GM's, by inflating their ratings (compared to others playing all). The only real exclusion is Scrappy, I believe Bob had a good idea there, even if we all knew what the result would be. :) !computer operators are obviously only interested in playing humans, and I see no reason to invite them to participate in a computer tournament. >There are also program participating in CCT4 which are not on ICC at the moment. >When they join they will be there for the first time..... So there will be no >computer vs computer information at all for these. This tournament has ICC in the title, it is for those who have ICC accounts. Not people who just want to be in a tournament.
