Yes, that's why I wrote "...but aren't available and/or not tested." I usually
forget some of these, i.e. Arthur (I can't remember the latest news about
Arthur), and Virtual Chess.

I'm afraid we are not only loosing commerical programs like MChess, CSTal, and
probably Wchess, but also Top-Amateurs. My impression is, they just won't go
commercial unless they are absolutley sure they can join the top 5 or so (which
is very hard to do). - And if they think they can't, they fade away. Maybe they
do expect too much from themselves? I think there are enough companies which
would like to have some more good engines in their teams.

I must admit, if I do not hear something new about a non-available program for
more than a year, I loose any interest in it. A comeback is more difficult for
them than for pros. For example, where are Dark Thought or Arthur? The last
games I have of them are from Paderborn 1999.
