Hello Bertil,

I told you last year that K6 is not the best hardware for Gandalf, also for
Crafty. And I am sure ... Gandalf 4.32h with longer time controls as 40/120 on
fast Athlon hardware make more points compare to other top programs.

After all my test is Gandalf 4.32h for analyses (not for endgame analyses) for
me the best program on the market (maybe Fritz 7 or Shredder 6 or Junior 7, have
not testet this engines).

If Gandalf 5 only 40 points stronger we have maybe on 2.0 GHz and tournament
time a new number one. Which time and hardware comes Gandalf ...

And for sure ...
Gandalf played from all top engines the most short games with tactial
combinations (also strong here Gambit-Tiger) ... if I look in my databases!

And ...
The program is running under WinBoard and all other commercial GUIs.

A litte bit publicity for Gandalf :-)
But all this is 100%ig right !!

I like fire on the board so I like Gandalf, like WinBoard so I like Gandalf.

Best
Frank
