I was intrigued by this comment since the direct support of UCI and MCS (as well
as the Tiger engines) was disabled for CA Light, and you are correct. For some
reason the detailed descriptions of the full Chess Assistant 6 appear as the
description of CA Light. All the same, there is a small workaround, much as
exists for Fritz 6: using the UCI -> Winboard adapter. I have not tested this,
but know it works for CA6 so presume it will work fine with CA Light as the
latter supports Winboard. Other than this limitation of engine types, the
playing environment is fully functional, including the tournament and match
functions.

I agree the Shredder 5 GUI was quite good, and am curious about the differences
between it and the new Shredder 6 GUI. Also, if Shredder 6 is a UCI engine, then
CA6 should support it. Has anyone tried it?
