Don't tell me that watching ChessBase engines slugging it out on the server or
at home isn't a heavenly experience :-). A bottle of handlotion and everything
would be perfect.

Hmm.. either it's interesting to own the chess software or it isn't. One obscure
match (that won't take place) shouldn't mean that much.

Some time ago Thomas Mayer tried to argue the case of the malignant WinBoard
adapter at CSS. Seemingly with some succes at the time. But nothing has happened
and I think it's fair to say that nothing will. They're too busy getting people
addicted to the Chessbase server. This will make the opportunity to use 100+
free engines with full strength seem less enticing. The other bugs won't be
resolved quickly either, because there's no real competition.
