HyperTransport is a communications protocol. It does not increase the processors performance in itself. So that is something of a non issue. It will relieve some memory bottlenecks, that in itself is somewhat important. There are in fact CPU Chipsets that use HyperTransport already. More intriguing is the possibility of a NUMA architecture and acceptable access times to peripherals. MvH Dan Andersson
