Subject: What chip?

Seems like i'm seeing pentiums and athlons pretty similarly priced.  I tend to
like the athlon, just to help out the "little guy" but that is the experience of
you guys with these chips and your chess programs?

Fow what it's worth, my program does not use bitboards, and will likely be
pretty memory trafficky, and will have function calls through pointers.
