Although the SSDF results are from much different conditions using other (older)
versions of these two, and inculde many matches against other engines too, you
almost got the same elo difference as the SSDF:

6 Deep Fritz 128MB K6-2 450 MHz 2654 27 -26 731 63% 2560

11 Fritz 6.0 128MB K6-2 450 MHz 2623 23 -23 968 64% 2521

30 Crafty 17.07/CB 128MB K6-2 450 MHz 2488 24 -24 857 47% 2506

http://home3.swipnet.se/~w-36794/ssdf/nr000.htm

(I think Deep Fritz (used on single CPU) is more similar to Fritz 7 than Fritz
6.) The difference Deep Fritz to Crafty 17.07 is 166 elo, so your result of +160
elo is not unusual or surprising.

In the direct SSDF matches against these 2 Fritz Crafty 17.07 achieved:

Crafty 17.07/CB 128MB K6-2 450 MHz, 2488
Opponent Result
DpFritz K6450 11½-31½ = 26,7%
Fritz6 K6-450 18-24 = 42,9% (!)

Again, the Deep Fritz result is very similar to your match result.
