I agree that Fritz 7a (7.0.0.2) appears to be tops on the totem pole at present,
maybe by 25-50 Elo points over the nearest competition. There are still
significant problems with the GUI, and the engine needs a little work too. I
agree that the Bishops should be valued a little higher but haven't got around
to doing any testing yet. I suspect this may eventually prove to be as popular
as the Chessmaster personalities, although the gains thereby are probably small.
