Subject: a relatively easy mate in 24 to solve

Author: Uri Blass

Date: 07:45:11 12/20/01

[D]8/6pp/3k4/3P1PP1/p2K4/8/8/8 b - - 0 51

This is from my correspondence game.

I am going to play
51...a3 mate in 24 and if
52.Kc3 then Kxd5 and if
53.g6 hxg6 and if
54.fxg6 Ke4 and if
55.Kb3 Kxf5 and if
56.Kxa3 Kxg6

I think that this time I can say mate in at most 18
in my next move even if my opponent declines the condition and
the only thing that I need to be careful is not to do
a mistake in writing the moves and not to be dead.

I need to use full notation in numbers and it means
51...a4a3(1413)
52.Kd4c3(4433) Kd6xd5(4645)
53.g5g6(7576) h7xg6(8776)
54.f5xg6(6576) Kd5e4(4554)
55.Kc3b3(3323) Ke4f5(5465)
56.Kb3xa3(2313) Kf5xg6(6576)

I already posted the previous position 1-2 weeks ago
but nobody responded about the mate so I post it again

[D]8/4k1pp/8/3P1PP1/p1K5/8/8/8 b - - 0 50

I played 50..Kd6 mate in 26 with the condition
51.g6 hxg6 52.fxg6 a3 53.Kb3 Kxd5 54.Kxa3 Ke4

My opponent replied 51.Kd4

The interesting question is how many cards
I need to win the game(I do not expect my opponent to resign).

I can post only a condition of one line and if I send my
opponent a tree of more than 1 line then he has the right
to ignore it in his reply.

Here is part of the analysis of yace under chessbase
of the position after 51...a4a3(my last move that I am going to
send to my opponent tomorrow) and of the positions after it
when my opponent avoid 52.Kc3
(I deleted lines at small depth except lines with mate score
and it happened when yace showed a mate score in the root
only to forget about it later)
