Buena Suerta,>>>>Mike I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but just to make sure: You should keep the tablebases in a separate directory, not in a subdirectory of a programs folder. There's no need to uninstall or re-install TBS. when you uninstall a program or install a new one. In Fritz 7, use "Tools/Options/" from the menu, and click the Tablebases tab. There, you can configure up to 3 tablebase directory path (and the tbs cache size). My "usual" tip on occasions like this: The checkbox "Use Tablebases" in the Load Engine dialogue does *not* control the engine's usage of TBS., but if the *GUI* uses them when TBS-material is reached in the game (this can support engines which do not use TBS themselves).
