It's not that I can't re-learn it, it just strikes me as really odd that anyone would still be using it. But that's ok, my problem. As for Winboard, it has some great features, including copy/paste pgn/fen (which I find very useful), analysis mode, and analyze file (pgn). With all its great features, I just assumed it would also analyze an epd file. Maybe that's in the "plus" version. And, you know, I'm always polite. :) Good-natured criticism is sometimes hard to convey in text. Like, for example, Bruce's epd processor appears not to work in all situations. That's fine, it appears to be a cool tool, I just wanted to know if the problem was related to the way I was using it, or if there was a bug. btw, nothing is free. Will
