i only have CB8, and while i like it in principle, it has a bug which annoys me
awfully. if you run fritz in a board window to get analysis on a game, then
close the board window because you are done with the game, and open the next
game and want to start fritz, it won't work. the engine window just stays dead.
you can load another engine though, like crafty, but after one game, boom. as
long as you have a lot of good engines, it might not be a problem :-)
closing chessbase and restarting it does not solve the problem, i have to
restart my computer. this only happens since i installed an online update to
chessbase (the latest), but it happened on every computer i tried it on (3, with
win95 /98 /ME). since the online update fixes about 1000 bugs in the HTML output
capability of chessbase, which is something i like to use, i kept it this way.
what really disappointed me is that in spite of a clear error description i
never got an answer from the chessbase support team, and i even wrote twice.
for me, this bug makes CB a whole lot less useful, and their customer support
makes me cry. they also have a FAQ on their webpage, but it's only for CB7...

cheers
