I am a positional player who favors queen pawn openings and closed games. I like to play slow-time games and casual games with a careful plan of strategy. I already have Shredder 5, Fritz 6, Junior 6, Chess Tiger 14 and Hiarcs 7.32. I am considering about purchasing Shredder 6 or Fritz 7. I heard that some CCC members are unhappy because Fritz 7 GUI has bugs, although Fritz 7 engine is stronger than Fritz 6 engine. In addition, Shredder 6 engine is not stronger enough than Shredder 5 engine. Therefore, I am hesitating whether to buy one of them or not and am not sure which one is right for me. Similarly, I do not know whether it is wise to buy one of them. If you know whether I should buy one of them and which one and why, please let me know. Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.
