Hi to all! I continue testing Fritz 7, and i believe that the strongest program to fight against Fritz 7 is Christophe program : Chess Tiger 14.0 Fritz 7 is indeed a very strong engine, but it have serious problems when it play against Tiger 14.0. I tested it about 350 games, ( 2 computers - 1.Ghz with 512 Ram memory) the time was (30 minutes+12 seconds). All the games was very long matches, against the best 5 top engines : Chess Tiger 14, Gambit Tiger 2, Shredder 5.32, Junior 7, Fritz 6, and other old engines like Hiarcs 7.32, Nimzo 8. Fritz 7 win almost all the matches, but lose for few games against Tiger 14. I think that Chess Tiger 14 is superior than Gambit Tiger 2, Chess Tiger is incredible!, it doesnt have a risky style like GT2, and play more solid, with very correct moves... For me in positional play, it is better than Shredder 5.32. The opening book for all this matches was a book created for me... Almost all the openings have only 4 or 5 moves... My idea is to see, how good was the programs with a very equilibrated and a short good opening. I dont like to test the programs, with big opening books... sometimes the programs beguin to think about the move 20 or more and this is very boring and without sense. In this way you dont know which is the real strenght of a chess program. Best Regards! Tanya Deborah.
