Sure Tina!!, this was my point!!!, I really can see how the engines preffered to play for the middle game, to see in which direction of a middle game, each engine prefered. > >Do you play reversed games, where each engine plays both black & white for each >opening? > Thanks for your commentary Tina... And yes! I played all my matches with reversed games... The idea is to see how the engine play with the same position with both colors :) I sincerely think that all the top engines are very strong... It is very difficult to say which is a clearly the strongest, but my feelings is, that the best programs are Fritz 7, Chess Tiger 14, and Junior 7 (J7 is very good in atack and Fritz have a lot of problems when it play against J7) Junior 7 like to play very much with his Queen, In some of my games, i can see Junior play for atack!, very risky, and a lot of movility with his Queen... Some of their wins are beautiful...It is very nice to see J7 games. Shredder 5.32 have a very solid style, but it have some problems with the Fritz incredible tactics ability. Their games are sometimes very nice, very positional, and with no risky play... Shredder 5.32 is a very hard program to beat. Fritz 7, is a very complete program... It is more good than Fritz 6 playing positionaly. (it is only my feeling), and great in tactics. The only thing is that i am not sure is if Fritz 7 is better than Deep Fritz. I never test DF against Fritz 7, but it is possible that i beguin this test very soon. Tina, do you know about some matches between this two engines??? Deep Fritz is a very strong engine too, but i prefer Fritz7 a bit more :) Regards! Tanya Deborah >Regards >Tina Long
