No, to be fair, each Engine should use their own book.

Game 1: Engine 1 starts, lets say 1.h3 from it's book (even if the GUI chose
that move from the engine 1 book)
Game 2: Engine 2 starts 1.h3 - even if that move isn't in it's book.

An extreme example, but illustrating my point, that Engine 2 book never gets to
"Start".

True, if the same book is used by both Engines.

Yes, it would be interesting to learn what these people, with lots of experience
(unlike me who played only a couple of Blitz matches when my H732 was new) do
about books, book settings etc.

I just checked some SSDF posts, & they do not have reversed openings.  I didn't
expect they would as I believe they always use two computers.
