I can only speak about my experiences with Chessbase products. I have found
them to operate very well for my purposes. I have found the customer support
very high quality at Chessbaseusa. Usually I get an answer in 24 hours. There
are some features I do not use that might be faulty. The few problems I haave
had have not been serious. About the only product I have not used from Chessbase
is Fritz 7. I expect to get it some time next year. Perhaps I will find
problems with it. But I will expect the fix shortly. I can see that a person
that has no internet connection can have problems, but there is the mail, and
Chessbaseusa has telephone customer service.
