I sometimes talk to Chessbase programmers on the Fritz7 server (you can find
them by the logo). They answered my questions usually ok.

But with Winboard one programmer took a funny attitude: He says only a few
specialists in their customers are interested in Winboard so they didnt find the
time to improve it though they understand the problems. The excuse: The new
chess server was such a big effort.

Is it really so difficult to write such a server for a simple two-person game.
The traffic required is ridiculously low traffic required (a few bytes per
move)? It looks like a task for a couple of weeks.
