You can update you Mega games database by getting the newest games every Monday
from "The Week in Chess", commonly called TWIC. The link is:
http://www.chesscenter.com/twic/twic.html.

If you're using Chessbase 8.0, you can automatically update your database with
TWIC games by running the program while online, and selecting "Get new games"
from the "Help" menu.

You can also use the best of these weekly games from TWIC to update your opening
books by importing the games into your opening books.
