I have no idea, if this is related. I got sent logs of Yace under CP. There I
see very weird behaviour. Everything seems to work fine for "local play"
independent of the ponder status. But with ICS play, while Yace is pondering, it
gets much less than one percent of the CPU (the other time seems to be idle time
...). In the logs everything looks the same as with local play. I don't use any
system specific commands besides polling the pipe (which is the same for ICS or
local play, and is done rather seldom). Nothing to change priorities, etc. The
extremely low CPU usage can yield in very big time differences between checking
the input, and in time problems. I have only seen this behaviour under CP.

Cheers,
Dieter
