I think the operators use their own settings (Pillen and Kleinert). I don't know if they have published those settings or if they want to do so. If you want to get in contact: See the group tables (Standing) at: http://www.vrichey.de/css2/indexe.html >Which custom personalities have >CM8000 users found to be best? Mg1 and Mg2 are difficult to better according to >the irregular testing I've carried out, but I'm still trying! The Chessfun settings are good, or the settings Kurt Utzinger has found. There are more of them... I used to collect them (hoping the best would "crystallize" sooner or later, which doesn't seem to happen :o). There are some general things most of these settings have in common AFAIK, i.e. the selectivity setting - default 6 - should probably be increased (as known from previous CM versions). The Chessfun pages contain an overview of many settings: http://www.geocities.com/chessfun_1999/cm8pers.txt The output shown there is from a very good freeware CM8K personality editor: http://members.aol.com/br5an/CM8KP170.zip Regards, M.Scheidl
