I have been trying to get auto232 to work in F7 GUI without any luck. I have Athlon 750 Win 98SE and PIII 800 Win ME. The documentation in the F7 help file, and Win help files is minimal. Is there any documentation available on the Web somewhere. I would describe what steps I have taken, but assume it is some basic problem, although the F7 help file says it is for “advanced users”, whatever that means. I’ve used a serial port connection before to transfer programs/data between two computers, the Alhoa Bob’s program, and had no problem with that. I started by trying to configure the connections in Accesories - Direct Cable Connection, setting one up as the host and the other as the guest, both on Com 1, but the computers don’t seem to be talking to each other though both say they are waiting for communication. In the PIII, the guest, in F7 I cannot get beyond the Select Device window for Computer Match - after clicking Com 1 and Auto232 and OK I just get the window back again, it never goes beyond that window. And in the host computer I get the game window but nothing happens - no game starts. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Chris
