Chessmaster 2000 was the very first version of Chessmaster, and it was released in 1984. When you say the "latest version ever", I assume you mean the NEWEST version, rather than the oldest version? If so, then the newest version is Chessmaster 8000, which was released a little over a year ago. Which version is it that you want -- the newest or the oldest? jm
