Some teams have explicitly have GM's assigned, but others use them more or less indirectly. As far as I know, no GM is officially helping with Crafty, but Bob has talked to many GM's about Crafty's play if I am not mistaking, and made it stronger that way. Also, when a program is playing on ICC, GM's will play it. I haven't yet asked the GM afterwards what he/she thinks could be changed or added, but I will. /David
