in particular for chess the business benchmarks are relevant which show that a
pentium 2.0 with RDRAM and all the other dooda lies exactly at the same level as
a athlon 1.33

further all salesmen at computer superstores will tell you exactly what yore man
said because thats what they are ordered to say by their bosses.

maybe but then wait for a yr and see what amd has!

www.gamepc.com is doing a athlon 2000 today. see www.pcnut.com as well. they
will do you a custom mad dual rig that will blow  intel off the water as surely
as the taliban have been blown away :)
