Subject: cm8000 board position file?

Hi,
 Hope I am not asking to many quistions about cm8000.
This message board has been very helpfull to me. I am enjoying reading through
all the other post, very interesting.

I just learned how to save a board postion as a FEN or forsythe file.
In doing that I see you can also save a file as "Board Postion".
I see they are both .txt files.
Why would one want to save a board position as a "Board Postion" file on CM
I the I understand the FEN and the PGN files now, but not sure what its doing
when you save it as "Board Postion" file.
