The "Board Position" is an old format that may now be unique to CM, and no
longer supported anywhere else. It is basically an attempt to "visually"
describe a board via text, such as this:

BR  BN  BB  BQ  BK  BB  BN  BR
BP  BP  BP  BP  BP  BP  BP  BP
--  --  --  --  --  --  --  --
--  --  --  --  --  --  --  --
--  --  --  --  --  --  --  --
--  --  --  --  --  --  --  --
WP  WP  WP  WP  WP  WP  WP  WP
WR  WN  WB  WQ  WK  WB  WN  WR

As far as "why" you would want to use it.... who knows? ;-)
