I think it has to do with the Forum software (script, whatever), that makes the diagram. Howvever, if you wanna send someone a FEN line, all you have to do is paste the FEN line on the e-mail, and the e-mail reciever can copy th FEN line and put it on his software (assuming that the software undertsands FEN lines) to see the diagram, it may sound a bit complicated as to how the FEN works, but it isnt that complicated. I suggest you do a test by setting up a FEN position with a software and pasting the position in this forum along with the [D] sign infront of the position. Just for experience. Happy New Year! pavs
