Here are two positions from a game played by Fritz 7 (vs Deep Shredder). My computers are identical with a couple of "small" exceptions. One has a 5400 rpm HD (Computer A) and the other has a 7200 rpm HD (computer B). The first position below causes no tablebase access. The second postion is accessing tablebases. Notice the time to complete the same depth in the two cases.
