This is not what reported by harald Faber http://www.harald-faber.de/englisch/HaraldE.htm Examples: Shredder6 lost against Gambittiger2 5.5-4.5 Shredder6 could only draw against Hiarcs7.32 I admit that based on Harald tests against the same opponents it seems that Shredder6 is about 80 elo better than Shredder5.32 Shredder6 did 31-29 result against some programs when Shredder5.32 did 24.5-35.5 result against the same opponents(I did not include gambittiger aggresive when we have for now only shredder5.32's results and I did include Fritz7 because Shredder5.32 lost 7.5-2.5 against Fritz7 when Shredder6 lost 8.5-1.5 against Fritz7a) I still believe that Shredder6 is not going to be 80 elo above shredder5.32 in the ssdf games because I guess that the new book is good mainly against programs that you tested Shredder against them and Shredder6 is going to play in the ssdf games against programs that you did not test Shredder6 against them Fritz7a is only one of them. I am going to apologize if the commercial version of shredder6 with no update to the opening book and no update to the engine is going to be at least 80 elo better than Shredder5.32 in the ssdf list. I believe that Shredder6 is better than Shredder5.32 and I believe that your book can also help it but unbiased tests of your book should be also against opponents that you did not prepare your book specially for them.
