an 8-way 1.6Ghz p4 Xeon they are supposed to be made this year so they may or may not be available. If not Chessbase can always change Fritz to 64-bit and ask AMD for their sledgehammer but this is probably not available yet either. Lastly IBM has it's p90 server upto 32-way 1.3Ghz Power 4. Each 1.3Ghz Power 4 chip is like a 2.5-3Ghz Athlon or Pentium 4...... so speed is available the question is weather or not any big time chess programs are ready to be available for Clusters and Unix. 2 Billion Nodes per second Hiarcs would Reach this number with 16,384 1.2Ghz Chips not that this is cost effective but Fritz would reach 4.7 BNps with 4,100 1.6Ghz chips ....not sure which cluster has the fastest/most chips but this would be interresting if it was done
