FYI, the COMPLETE 3/4/5-man Nalimov endgame tablebases take up approximately
7.05 GB of space. This equates to 11-12 CDs.

What Chessbase and others do is to include a SUBSET of the complete set. This
includes the 3/4-man egtbs and maybe a few 5-man egtbs. I believe some
companies intentionally are unclear in their advertising and simply mention that
endgame tablebases are included, not specifying exactly which ones are included.

There is a vender Gambitsoft that sells a 12 CD set for $90, which, I assume
based on the number of CDs, is the complete set.

The typical distribution of Nalimov tablebases is in compressed format.
Decompression occurs on-the-fly, and nearly all programs including Fritz are
designed to work with the compressed egtbs this way.

I would stick with the default cache size 4096 kb, as there isn't any compelling
reason that I know of to change it.

If you are using Chessbase products, there's a little quirk you should be aware
of if you obtain egtbs from a source other than Chessbase. The filename of a
typical tablebase file is kxxkxx.nbx.emd, with two dots. For some reason,
Chessbase does not recognize the two dot naming convention, so all of their
tablebases use a single dot naming convention, such as kxxkxxnbx.emd (removes
the first dot). If you acquire egtbs from a non-Chessbase source, remember you
will have to change the filenames for 290 files in the complete set.

I offer the following:
A 12-CD set of the COMPLETE 3/4/5-man EGTBs for $75 OR
A 2-DVD set of the COMPLETE 3/4/5-man EGTBs for $80. <<<--- (first time offered
anywhere, afaik)
Both include shipping.
I can provide the files using either conventional or Chessbase naming format.

I hope this info is of some use to you.
