Subject: Compiler switches for AMD?

I just upgraded from a Celeron 466 to AMD-XP-1600+ for 600 EUR (basically
everything except monitor). Not bad, so far, gives a factor 4. What compiler
switches to use for this CPU? With my slow (but very comfortable) Borland BCB
compiler it doesnt seem to matter much. Turning on or off PPro scheduling, I see
hardly any difference. What is recommended? Especially for VC?
