Also Dann since the rich text box is kind of like an extra component is that what you are talking about when you mention "unless there is some control" ??? and if so then what? Perhaps since you have several machines at your disposal would you mind checking the egtb.exe file and see that it works on a machine that you have never had VB on? Sorry for the trouble, Les
