Exactly, and for me this steers to the issues of different playing styles
and results vs humans, instead of hyping a multitude of comp-comp games.
Chess Tiger entered with a very interesting attacking style and made a
tremendous result in South America - both chess-and result wise. Junior 7
has displayed an irrational game - it sometimes reminds me of Ivanchuk.
It can produce unbelievable things and the opposite. A kind of experimental
chess with a clear dislike of cramped positions, often resulting in freeing
pawn sacs. Meyer-Kahlén sticks to his idols Capablanca and Karpov and has
worked long with transfering this playing style to Shredder. It was interesting
to read that Stefan now found himself playing more aggressive on the servers,
than his more careful past, and that this his own change, just might influence
Shredder in the future... Fritz has had the reputation of being a fast duffer,
mostly good at tactics. Morsch has of course worked a lot with the king safety,
middlegame-and endgame knowledge, but looks heavily pressed by deadlines for
new releases of the main program. A new "Fritz 7b" is rumoured for the end of
this month. For me, Rebel is also a very interesting program with it's focus
of playing humans ("anti-human mode"). Hiarcs 8 of course... The few games
I have seen by H8 displayed a very aggressive and attacking chess.

This is a bunch of flowers and the authors have sort of transfered their
own different personalities into the programs. For me they are all
interesting, in their own different ways.
