As usual, RC4 plays a swell game, especially at "handicap" level (suits me:) but you'll be surprised about Gandalf 5. I followed the beta games by Moq and Pete Galati in Moq's forum, and wasn't too impressed by the performance initially. However, Steen and Dan must have been working on it after that, because I was surprised to see it play. It's still tactically strong, agressive and fast, but not like the Fritz 5 - razorblade style. I would say it has crept a bit in the direction of Shredder. The folks with real understanding of chess - please correct me if I'm wrong, but I like Gandalf 5.0 very much. Kudos to Steen and Dan. J.
