Ok people on ICC who cheat are wasting their time.
What if though the persons goal to cheating over the board tournaments wasn't
rating based at all?
A 1400 and under section in some tournaments in America can pay up to $4000.
U1500 $4000, U1600 $4000, U1700 $5000 and so on.
If the cheaters goal was only to stay in relatively these areas and just mop up
the prize earnings I feel he can go a long time or possibly never get caught.
If his rating starts increasing to higher levels, all he has to do is invest $20
into a club tournament in his home town and lose all or most of his games
dropping his rating back down. Like sandbaggers do.
If I were to cheat that's how I'd do it, screw the ratings. Show me the money!
